Rob, Starling Cheltenham, UK:

Hi K.K.
Congratulations on the Steel Mill’s first anniversary! You have a cool site. Now I have been a Priest fan for a long time and therefore over the years have heard a few rumours and stories about the band.  I want to know how true these stories are. Firstly, regarding the song “Eat Me Alive”: did the song really originate from a member of the band witnessing first hand, somebody demanding oral sex from a victim at gunpoint, on a jet plane somewhere in the States? If this is true would you care to elaborate? (Like which band member for example). Secondly, did Glenn Tipton really crash a car into the lobby of an Odeon cinema on a night when Iron Maiden were playing at the venue?  This story obviously stems from the rivalry between Priest and Maiden over the years, but is there any truth in it?  Thirdly, were the master tapes really stolen for the album ‘Unleashed in the East’ and were the tapes only recovered through the record company paying a blackmailer for the tapes return. Is this story just publicity for the album, or was there any truth in it?  Fourthly, are you and Dave Murray really the same person performing in both Priest and Maiden? (Only joking there K.K.!)
Hope Nostradamus is killer (he said it would be!)
Hi Rob! Full marks for amusing me, there is no truth in any of the rumours except that we did have the odd rift with the Maiden boys but I guess you get that sometimes when prize fighters are competing for the belt.
Regards K.K.

Sygy:

Hi K.K.!
Thank you very, very much for this strong song Nostradamus! It’s the 21st of April and I have listened this song for more than 40 times since 12AM. This song has everything!  You and Glenn are in a phenomenal shape. Still the best guitar duo on the world. And your friend Ian is a killer in this song- great! Travis is as powerful as usual – I love his style. And Rob is the best singer and front man on the universe. I love his opera voices, his variety and his kind of singing! So my predictions have been true: Nostradamus will be a new music story in the world. New innovations, a lot of emotions, darkness, loveliness and power! I’m looking forward to listening the whole special edition project and to see you on Tour in Sweden, Munich, Bologna and probably in Switzerland, Chicago or Las Vegas too.
Enjoy this year, it’s the year of the Priest Feast!
Good luck!
Hi Sygy. Thanks for being a great fan of the band, and thank you for the shirt, it fit me perfectly.
Regards K.K.

Mike:

Mr. Downing

My name is Mike and I am from the Boston, MA area. Let me start off by saying I have been a fan for over 25 years. I think it is fantastic that you guys are hitting the road again. It had gotten to the point where my friends and I had to start seeing Priest “tribute” bands to get our fix. What I wanted to ask was this; I saw the dates for the Metal Masters Tour and there are none currently scheduled for the New England area. Are you guys heading this way or are we going to have to “road trip” to see this unbelievable line up?
Thanks, Keep Feeding The Flames!
Hi Mike. Unfortunately we are not doing as many dates as we would have liked but I hope you will make the journey as it will be a special event.
Regards K.K.

John, Konopka, NJ USA:

K.K.,
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary of the Steel Mill and the long awaited release of Nostradamus and the tour. My question is, what is your favourite all time guitar you have ever played? I have a Fernandes Revolver Pro 81 built in sustain with a scalloped neck. If you would like to try it out I’m going to Your show at the PNC Art Center here in NJ in August. I bought the VIP so I’ll be at the party. Let me know and I’ll bring it with me. I had discussed this guitar with you in a previous question about if there was an advantage from a scalloped neck. I am glad I did it. If anyone reading this is thinking about doing this to your guitars, I definitely recommend it, If you like shredding or playing fast and accurately then this is for you. I have many guitars and the Fernandes is the only one that gets played now. K.K., now I know why you’ve scalloped your guitars.
See you at the show!
Hi John. Please don’t go to the trouble this time as I am sure that things will be hectic. Just come and have a good time but I will leave it to you if you want to risk it. See you there!
Regards K.K.

Alex, Calexico,CA:

What’s up K.K!!!!! Could you help me with “Beyond the Realms of Death?” I found this guitar Tab at ultimate-guitar.com, I don’t know if the rhythm is the way you play it? Could you help me with the solos? Here is the tab…
Hi Alex. This is not quite right, I am not able to give up much time at the moment as we are on tour but send it to me again later and I will get back to you. I can help you with my solo.
Regards K.K.

Susan, USA:

Ken, at what point did you quit smoking and what really motivated you to do it?
Did you use any pharmacy products to quit or did you just quit?

Hi Susan. It’s a strange thing but a long time ago I was lying in bed with my girlfriend and I was looking at a magazine that showed photos of a smokers lung and a non smokers lung. One was black and one was pink. My girlfriend also smoked and I suddenly realised that I did not want her lungs to be black and wondered if she smoked just because I did. So I suggested to her there and then that we should try to give it up and we did within the week. I am still very happy that I saw that magazine.
Regards K.K.

Bev:

Hi Ken! Curiosity has gotten the best of me today. On behalf of the ladies that have seen this photo posted at JP.com ~ Have you seen this photo? Did you know Gumby was there?

Hi Bev. So that was the guy who was doing those out of tune backing vocals.
Regards K.K.
